Forward: Justin Thibault, Mercer Chiefs
Before Thibault (‘08/Levis, Que.) posted two assists for the NCDC All-Star Prospects earlier this week, he added one goal and four assists to his name for the Mercer Chiefs. In his rookie season for the NCDC, he has 30 points across 28 games, with 15 goals and 15 assists.
Defense: Kai Mencel, West Chester Wolves
Mencel (‘06/San Diego, Calif.) added three goals and one assist to his scorecard, averaging two points per game for the West Chester Wolves this week. He has played 34 career games in his inaugural NCDC season, with 18 points to his name.
Goaltender: Nick Bunch, Jersey Hitmen
Bunch (‘05/Canton, Mich.) recorded a 34-save shutout win for the Jersey Hitmen on Jan. 25. The rookie goaltender has a .933 save percentage in his first NCDC season, with a 2.41 goals against average. This was his second shutout of the season.
Rookie: Jake Stevens, Mercer Chiefs
A Middlebury College recruit, Stevens (‘05/Newton, N.J.) added two assists to his scorecard to continue a four-game points streak with the Mercer Chiefs. The rookie blueliner traveled to Foxboro to play for the Atlantic All-Star Team, but unfortunately was unable to participate due to illness.
Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
