Forward: Will Rassier, South Shore Kings
Rassier (‘04/Princeton, N.J.) stands as the leading scorer in the NCDC, with six goals and seven assists for 13 points in just six games. Over the past week’s pair of games against the Boston Jr. Rangers, he added three goals and two assists to that total, including the Friday GWG.
Defense: Regnars Jansons, Thunder Hockey Club
Jansons (‘05/Liepaja, Latvia) put up an assist during the Thunder’s sole victory of the past week, and he continues to help the Thunder with their outstanding 4-0-0-0 start. During this time, they’ve only let up eight total goals, averaging just a 2.00 team GAA.
Goaltender: Ryan Crowshaw, Islanders Hockey Club
Crowshaw (‘04/West Hartford, Conn.) was absolutely on fire all weekend. After defeating the Worcester Jr. Railers with 28 saves on 32 shots, he put up a 31-save shutout against the Northern Cyclones. Crowshaw remains undefeated with four wins, and is one of just three 4-0 goalies in the league.
Rookie: A.J. Sacco, Islanders Hockey Club
Sacco (‘05/Middleton, Mass.), a former Cushing Academy product, registered his first junior goal – the game-winner – and an assist as the Islanders defeated the rival Northern Cyclones on Saturday, Oct. 5.
